Printer Friendly Version Meeting of Prime Ministers of Serbia and Romania in Timişoara @ 14 November 2016 12:48 PM

Prime Minister of the Republic of Serbia Aleksandar Vučić met in Timişoara with the Prime Minister of Romania Dacian Ciolos, with whom he discussed bilateral cooperation, strengthening trade exchange, Serbia's European path, the migrant crisis and the situation in the region.

After the meeting, the two officials attended the signing of:

- Protocol on the establishment and activities of mixed joint patrols along the state border (signed by Vice President of the Government and Minister of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Serbia, Nebojša Stefanović, and Minister of Internal Affairs of Romania, Dragoş Tudorache),

- Joint Statement on the support of Romania to the Republic of Serbia in the EU integration process (signed by Minister without Portfolio Responsible for European Integration of the Republic of Serbia, Jadranka Joksimović, and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Romania, Lazăr Comănescu), and

- Declaration on cross-border cooperation in the field of employment and social policy (signed by Minister of Labour, Employment, Veteran and Social Affairs of the Republic of Serbia, Aleksandar Vulin, and Minister of Labour, Employment, Social Protection and Elderly of Romania, Dragoş Pislaru).

During his visit to Romania, Prime Minister Vučić also visited the headquarters of the Association of Serbs in Romania, as well as the Serbian Orthodox Church in Timişoara.
