Ambassador B. Brankovic and First Secretary for Consular Affairs I. Isidorovic visited the "St. Archangels Michael and Gabriel" church located in Kležanj (Clejani), Giurgiu County, which was founded by Captain Misa Anastasijević, and attended the liturgy on this holy occasion, on November 08th, 2013.

At the end of liturgy, Ambassador B. Brankovic addressed the clergy and the numerous visitors. On that occasion he expressed full confidence in the work in progress regarding the restoration of this building, and the willingness of the Embassy of the Republic of Serbia in Bucharest to provide maximum assistance - considering the mutual interest and mutual obligation to keep the position of M. Anastasijević in the traditionally good relations between the two nations and two orthodox churches.

Romanian side fully agreed with the assessment of the importance of M. Anastasijević and mutual obligation to preserve his legacy. They also reminded that, a while ago, Giurgiu Episcopacy initiated in the ROC the idea for M. Anastasijević to be declared as a saint. According to their knowledge, a similar initiative was launched and the Serbian Ortodox Church.
